No more Alembics!
If you're using alembic you can have issues in Unreal engine, neither use the alembic as any kind of collisions. Having deformations as actual skeleton mesh can be very helpful as there's a lot of limitations with Alembics as of now, one of which is inaccurate velocity calculation and sometimes frame mismatch.
Very Excited to show this game-changing plug-in I've been working on this past few days, which is called "Morpherinator" for Maya and Unreal Engine 4. (Yes! The naming convention is literally inspired by Phineas and Ferb). Can't wait to see what all the other artists are going to achieve by it. It unlocks so much potential and possibilities with real-time deformations without much effort. As you know some deformations are very tricky and hard to get in UE4, especially when you're using it for film-making purposes. This plug-in will ease a lot of that process for you.
